4 big months old!

Sweet Zora just turned 4 months old! Life with 2 babies is blurring by. She's now rolling over on her side, talking (babbling) up a storm (she says "mahmmah" when she's hungry), reaching for things (esp. her body parts, my hair, & her toys), lifting her head & turning in all directions, laughing & giggling when we tickle her, & getting into a small bit of a schedule. :) She loves to watch Langston (which is great bc he loves to entertain). He's still jealous, but now that he sees her smiling & laughing at him, he likes her more. :) I know that once she can interact with him more, the love will come more easily. Just this past two nights she has slept her old 6 hour chunk, which is great...she was back into the 3 hour "naps" at night, too. I'm still going for 3 naps a day w. her & most of the time she does great w. at least 2 of those. OH! And (drum roll, please) she has fallen asleep twice within the past three days in her crib, by herself, at naptime. I nursed till she turned away (didn't want anymore) & then turned on her fan & laid her in her crib. Ten minutes later, she was out cold. Now this approach didn't work so well the last time I tried it, but I'm not giving up. Langston NEVER went to sleep like this. I think that some kids just don't do the "lay me down...I'll self soothe," but I am willing to try whatever might work...knowing that all babies are different...praise be! This one sleeps!
ps) Thanks for the dress, Jessie! I bet you thought she'd be walking around in the 12 mth. size! :) I did!

Congrats on the sleep thing - hooray! Calvin is not a self-soother either, even now. Though, as a non-infant at least he and I can talk about ways he can calm himself down before he completely loses it and can't stop crying for 30 minutes. Poor guy. On the rare occasion (not as rare lately), that he loses it...he REALLY loses it.

You know, I think I got that dress figuring it would fit her sooner rather than later - I had a feeling she'd be a more substantial (aka deliciously chubby) baby than L., but I can't believe she's in it already. Love it!

I'm glad you enjoyed the BYU singers. I never attended BYU, in fact Louie makes fun of it mercilessly, but they do have great artsy groups.
I guess being so near Nauvoo, it's inevitable that LDS entertainment would be part of the events there. That's a crack up!

P.S. I got your message and keep meaning to call you back. I'm sorry, I keep forgetting until it's too late! I WILL call sometime - or you can try again anytime.

LOVE the sweet smiley pic of Z. She is precious. And I hope and pray that she is a good sleeper for you.
I like Jessie's "deliciously chubby" comment - sooo true!
