We had a small adults-play-board-games party; kids play & watch Robin Hood last night. We tried for a sitter or two (eight kids total...ages 7, 6, 6, 5, 4, 3, 1, 8 mths.)on one floor of the house & the grown-ups on the other. After a scramble of pizza & salad, cookies & watermelon, we headed downstairs for a game of Pictionary. It was fun stuff. :) Maybe we'll stick the kids at one house next time with the grown-ups at another...but with two breastfeeding moms (at least) in the group, that's sometimes a little tough.
Another reason for our celebrating was the release of (Barclay's office mate) Tim's book, Distant Revolutions. Hooray, Tim & family! I know that we'll have a bash when Barclay's book is in print! :)I couldn't resist posting this pic of Tim & Sumner. The dads play soccer on Saturdays sometimes & the kids play at the playground. This Sat. Tim was doing his usual "dangerous kid things"...he scares me! :) And reminds me of Eli balancing baby Noah on his palm at church in Gainesville...do y'all remember that, Campus friends?
