"I want cereal."  (me: What kind?)  "Snow flakes."  (me: Cornflakes?)
L:"May I be excused [from the dinner table]?"  Me: "Yes.  Zora, did you hear your brother?  What do you need to ask?  May I be..."  Z:"A Piwate!"

daddy's birthday cake:  as Fudge would say, "Eat it or wear it!"
